The 2024 Madhamik Examination is scheduled to start from 2nd February. The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, the concerned body organising this exam had decided to advance the date of the exam due to various factors this year. The 2023 Madhyamik Pariksha was started on 23rd February 2023 which means that WBBSE has advanced the exam dates by 21 days this year.

As per the official notice, the examination will start at 9:45 AM every day. Please note that this is from the LATEST update from WBBSE as they had revised the timing of the examination which was earlier scheduled to start from 11:45 AM every day.
The first languages as mentioned in the notice are:
Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Modern Tibetan, Nepali, Odia, Gurmukhi (Punjabi), Telugu, Tamil, Urdu and Santali.

If the first language of the candidate is English, the second language of the candidate will either be Bengali or Nepali.
The total allotted time for each exam (of the regular subjects) is 3 hours and 15 minutes. Students are allotted 15 minutes for reading the question papers and the rest 3 hours for writing their answer scripts.
