Answer:
When people heard of Gandhiji’s assassination, they came in groups around Brila house. After breaking the initial silence, the people clamor, shout, cry and attempted to break into the house to see Bapu’s dead body. They become a little calm when they heard the announcement saying the common people will be allowed to see Bapu before the funeral taking place.
